Even before she came to Christ Ilya had to suffer a toxic family- her dad pushed her down the stairs, causing her to miscarry.
At the hospital she met a Iranian Christian lady who indirectly and cautiously told her about Christ (this is Iran).
Ilya became pregnant again, life got better, a child on the way and both had well paying jobs but this was not to last.
Ilya had to soon inform her husband Milad that they had to leave Iran as their group had been discovered by government agents. Ilya had arrived late and she saw members being arrested- one of them was her friend who introduced her to Christ.
They moved to the Countryside of Iran, then to an Arabic speaking Country and then safely to the West.
The struggles didn't end in the West- their accommodation had only one room and after giving birth Ilya still lived in the same accommodation- that didn't have cooking facilities and they soon had to rely on charities for clothing, etc.
After becoming pregnant again Ilya, her husband and her child got moved to yet another property but were then sent an eviction notice.
Now Ilya, her husband and their two children live in a suitable property. Ilya and her family are now in a local church and Milad volunteers for a local charity, being a blessing to the local community.
Wow what an amazing story from a couple of faith- if this is not evidence where God has us where he wants us I don't know what is!
Let us remember sisters in Christ like Ilya and what they have been through such as memories of leaving her country and of only being able to helplessly watch as the friend who introduced her to Christ was arrested.
