@SomeMichGuy I don't understand the bedroom part either. I can understand all the hate and anger about people who piss off yaweh but just not the bedroom bit.

And since He is where two or more gather in His name, praying in a bedroom--which happens, esp. with the sick, recovering, or dying--that contradicts the Word...

The Gospels reveal a much more loving God, and Biblical scholars have long held that the Book of Revelations can be adequately mapped to the fall of the Roman Empire.

@SomeMichGuy I agree. Revelation is really anti-Roman propaganda . Unfortunately people would rather delight in the idea that there is going to be great suffering and awesome judgement. They can't wait for the misery.

@JimboSaturn There are many UN-Christian ideas swirling around, esp. in cults, which tend to depend upon

• "WE are the ONLY ones with the REAL Truth" and

• "If you join us, you can enjoy the suffering of the not-us"

That latter is really sad to contemplate.
