Where's everyone going?

Apparently something called 'The Rapture' is going to happen soon, and all the true Christians will ascend to heaven.
However, this has been predicted many times before, but it never actually happened. Or did it?
Maybe on all those previous occasions, all the genuinely holy Christians did go to heaven, it's just that no one noticed because there were so few of them.
What do you think?

It’s a very much contested belief amongst Christian groups. The ones with the biggest mouths certainly go on about it a lot, but there are many of us who are not at all convinced about their very tight timetable of how and when things will happen. We tend to follow the teaching of Jesus, which said no one not even he knew the time that the end of all things would happen. So basically all those who are trying to be clever and predicting are doing more than Jesus said he could do.

I wouldn’t worry, but I still take what Jesus says seriously which is more importantly about the way we live here and our relationship with God through Jesus today.

@FreddieUK I'm pretty sure I won't be going! 🤣

@FreddieUK Congrats! You've read a recognized Bible and not the edited one evangelicals love hitting us over the head with.

😆😆😆, you worded that good!

True people have been returned to predict when the Lord is coming for centuries.

Any true Christian would know the Bible says no man knows the day or the hour tells us to pay attention to the signs of the times and gives us all the prophecies that will be taking place.

Until the 20th century some of those prophecies couldn't happen.
1 the rise of the Antichrist couldn't happen, until now the world has to unite in unity 2 the mark of the beast couldn't happen, now there is barcoding, microchipping, and the computer and many people are being microchip.
3 the gospel has to be preached to All Nations then the end will come and whether or not these uncontacted people have been actually contacted and refuse what could be the hearing of the gospel? But there are less than a hundred so they say.
4 there had to be an increasement in knowledge and people had to be running to and fro until two hundred or less years ago people were still in the dark. Now they're going to the Moon and technology has taken off.

Still those who are making these modern-day prophecies, over 99% of Christians don't listen to.

The rapture will happen on the day of the second coming of the LORD Jesus.. Christians who remain and survive the end times tribulation will be ""caught up"" ( raptured) into the sky to meet Jesus in the clouds as He returns to earth.. They will be coming back down to earth with Jesus as He touches down on a hill in Jerusalem and they will rule the earth with Jesus for 1000 years..

@SpudMuffin After the great tribulation.. meaning after the great persecution that will come upon true Christians and after the great wars and the great famine and the meteor ( wormwood ) that will stike and the greatest earthquake humanity has ever seen...

Now when will this actually happen date wise ? I don't know.. I suspect it will be in the 2030's but thats just a personal hunch.. I am not predicting dates..
SpudMuffin · 61-69, M
@Adstar that's what I thought - the people who are being specific about dates have no more idea than anyone else!
Adstar · 56-60, M
@SpudMuffin Jesus made it clear that no one would know the day or the hour..

(Matthew 24:36) "¶ But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."

So if anyone gives you a date you can totally disregard what they say..

But the message of the Bible is that in the end times people will know the times.. They will know it is near, without knowing that actual day or hour..

(1 Thessalonians 5:1-6) "But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. {2} For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. {3} For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. {4} But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. {5} Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. {6} Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober."

I've made standing offers to buy all their stuff for cash. None have taken me up. They seem to know this rapture legend is nonsense.
SpudMuffin · 61-69, M
@Crazywaterspring I saw your post, brilliant! Funny how they're not taking up your kind offer.
