Went to stay in my former town for a family event so went to my former church.
Dissapointed as the two vicars are really sound biblically so why there was a biblically unqualified one doing a sermon I don't know. I suspect it is the doing of a new charsimatic vicar.
The sermon was dry- what would you expect from someone who essentially says "Lord, I know I'm not qualified by your word to be a vicar but I know more than you do".
I will focus on what I saw on my way to the Sheffirld United match on Saturday- I love visiting Sheffield, it's a great city and what I saw was very encouraging.
On one corner there was a man with a headset microphone preaching about how Christ saved him from a life of drug addiction and on the next there was a group of South Asian Christians singing worship songs with a sign of John 8:32 behind them.
What a beautiful, eternally precious sight that was- can't say the same about Sheffield United's result though 😒🤭
