Suddenly Gone! What the Bible Says About the Rapture

What is next for the Church on the Prophetic Calendar of events?

You don't want to miss this!

We are discussing an event known as, “The Rapture.” The word, “rapture” is a reference to a supernatural event that shall suddenly and physically remove every Christian from this earth. The Bible specifically states in 1st Corinthians 15:52, that the Rapture shall take place in a "twinkling of an eye". --- "in the FLASH OF AN EYE" --- BEFORE YOU COULD EVEN BLINK YOUR EYE!--- where believers shall be united with Jesus in the air, then taken straight to heaven!

No, you will not find the word, “rapture” in your English Bible. It is taken from a word in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, where the apostle Paul explains that believers shall be “caught up” to meet with the LORD in the sky.

The word, “caught up" is from the Greek word, “harpazo” which translates as (“to seize” or “to snatch out/away”). In the Latin translation of 1 Thessalonians. 4:17 (in the Vulgate), it is the word, “Rapere”, which is where we get the English word, “Rapture” from. So that is the source of the word, if anyone ever asks.

The event of the rapture itself, is described in at least three separate places, in the scriptures (Matthew 24:40-42, 1 Corinthians 15:51-53, and, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

Each of those passages gives us details about the unfolding of that future day.

You Decide

If you watch the video below, please watch the full video, paying careful attention and making note of the biblical timelines, as you do.

Some may know, that the Bible says that no one knows the time or date that the Lord will come back. Neither does the following video claim someone knows, but the Bible does say that Jesus will come back as a "thief in the night!"

Those 4 particular words, speak of the Rapture. Not the Second Coming. How do we know?

The particular phrase thief in the night makes reference to the Lord coming back secretly, just as a thief would, and no one knows he had come and gone, until the next day, when things are missing. Those "things" that shall be missing after the rapture has occurred, is His Church! That is, all who have given their hearts and lives to Christ as Savior, shall be raptured from this Earth to meet Him in the air.

This event, serves two purposes:

1. To protect His Church by taking them to heaven, before the Great Tribulation starts, which involves the Battle of Armageddon.

2. The rapture event is actually what ushers in the first 3 1/2 years of the 7-year Tribulation period.

Just as soon as Believers are raptured out of here, the Great Tribulation shall start, and those who have been left behind, are the ones who shall have to face the Antichrist. You do not want to be left behind!!

The Rapture and the Second Coming are Two Separate Events.

The Bible tells us that during the Rapture, Christ's followers shall meet Jesus in the air. He does not step foot on this Earth again, until His Second Coming.

During the Second Coming of Christ, the Bible confirms that He comes back with His Mighty Heavenly Army, and steps DOWN to the Earth, to save Israel, during the Battle of Armageddon, which shall take place in the last part of the 3 1/2 years of the Great Tribulation period. When that battle is completed, Christ shall reign on Earth for a thousand years, called his Millennium Reign.Revelation 20:4-6

This video is amazing and so exciting. However, you'll really need to watch it all, to appreciate it, and pay very close attention to the biblical timeline, when you do.

Are you ready for the rapture, when ever that day comes? None of us have to miss it!

I want to complete My Bible studies before the rapture.
@DanielsASJ
That might take another Thousand Years hahaha we could read that Bible from now until we go home and we'll still not have covered it all. That's just not possible, but believers sure enjoy reading and studying their Bible.

God says it so it will definitely happen. Wouldn't it be so awesome to be taken up to Heaven with all the other believers. So far only a couple of people have been taken up alive. What an awesome thought. ☺☺☺☺
@Musicman Absolutely, it will happen! Here's the timeline. You didn't get to see it because I just not added it to my post.
