Money and God's providence

An account from the great awakening of America.

When a Rev Robinson went and woke up a congregation's spiritual state and made their church more gospel orientated, he was offered money by the church.

Rev Robinson refused but on his first stop he discovered the congregation had sneakily slipped the bag of money into his luggage.

Rev Robinson returned (this was the 1700s so not exactly an easy feat) the money back but the church refused.

The church and Rev Robinson found a solution- give it to a promising student planning to be a minister- Samuel Davies, who needed the money!

A great story about God supplying those in need and the ways he does it.

Many such gem stories (many never written about) must come from the Great Awakening in Colonial America.

The Great Awakening was actually America's golden age because of all the people coming to Christ, that is an ACTUAL golden age! Not because of a leader who has a huge fanbase because of their NLP techniques!
