The Bible, not self help.
I had to think about doing this as I thought I wouldn't anymore. I gave a day's rest and listened to what my God given conscience was twlling me and it told me to do this.
I would not have made this article if this was by a non Christian, but this article was made by a proffesing Christian.
I think you might need to learn what the Bible teaches about our sinful state and the punishment we all deserve.
You might want to give Jeremiah 17:9 a read
This isn't the love your neighbour as yourself saying from the Bible, this is motivated by the self help ideology now appearing in many of their posts.
No it's not. It's to glorify God, I'm sure there are great benefits for ourselves but that's not our motivation.
No he doesn't. Don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with being happy and healthy but if that statement were the case, you would see no Christians facing bereavement, no Christians with health issues, etc.
There is nothing wrong with me and my wife laughing together during a romantic moment and my little nephew cheerfully and excitedly telling me he's seen the new Jurassic World movie. These are happy moments given to us by God. But they are not the whole story.
Another example on a light, funny note my pastor is quite overweight and needs to lose it (he should come to me for mountain climbers 😏🤭- that caused me to lose weight and get a toned stomach!). But on a more heavy note what would this statement say about the Chibok Christian mums, over 10 years later they don't know their daughters whereabouts!
You absolutely do not come first, God does. Whole Countries and even continents know this is wrong, even from a secular perspective. From the Biblical perspective, you come last. The Biblical way has made me happy in so many ways.
We all deserve damnation. I cannot even begin to unravel how bad this statement is but I will need to give the Apostle Paul and the persecuted church a call.
Conclusion
So I must be one miserable, uptight guy huh? Nope, I have joy in my heart.
Using an example I had a bad relationship with my mother in law (always got on with my father in law). It was straight out of a comedy movie how bad it was. But recently she has told my wife behind my back the positive change she has seen in me and how much nicer I am to her.
Good Biblical teaching produces good works.

That doesn't mean you're a bad person

Your heart is genuine

forgiveness is really for ourselves,
