Sermon Notes 10/08/25
Today was a great service- my wife and I welcomed into membership and our first communion!
. We are motivated to love others because we are all made in God's image. Treat everyone the same. For other Christians there is a special reserved love- we are to love other Christians as family.
. Don't be jealous of others- God has given you your unique course in life.
. Don't envy others- where we all deserve to be right now is in hell- but God is kind and gracious and is keeping you! Yep no mushy self love and self help advice thrown into my pastor's sermons 🤭
. We must realise the blessing of meeting God's people in church- the brothers and sisters in Africa and the Middle East risk their lives for this privelege!!!!!!!!!
. We are not living for this life, we are living for an eternal life in God's presence after death- this life is indeed a dress rehearsal!
. Live in constant expectation of Christ's second coming!
. We all have our fears and concerns. But what if Christ came tommorow? This should put everything into perspective.
