The offensiveness of the Gospel
Another sermon note that needs it's own posts.
"I won't treat King Charles differently to anyone else. Bring him and Camilla here and I'll tell them judgement and hell await if they do not start to believe on Christ" said my pastor during today's sermon.
He does this great comparison- let's say Charles and Camila pass away in their current state and on that same day a poor Christian migrant, snubbed by society (the migrant may have even come here by boat) passes away too.
An eternity of God's glory awaits the Christian migrant but an eternity of hell will await Charles and Camilla.
Otherside of the pond- an American politician pretending to be Christian to appease his certain political movement dies and on the same day a Christian migrant caught crossing the US border dies. That Christian migrant will get an eternity of God's glory and the politician an eternity in hell.
I will close with my pastor's words "And if that offends you, tough".
