. Feel the fierce passion to grow your church- don't be satisfied and complacent when the church grows slightly! Great reminder that God has not redeemed us for a comfy life or self help advice!
. A reminder on 'Theology for everyone' that Christ (God the Son) emptied himself and set aside his heavenly glory to come down on earth as a servant. Noone else could take on God's wrath, rightly meant for us.
. A reminder from John Owens on sin- don't see it as a "little sin". We must see it as all the more guilty because of the grace God has given us, meditate on how sinning is trampling on Gods grace. Our sin grieves the Holy Spirit. Meditate on God's glory.
. Pray for more Godly, Gospel orientated BIBLICALLY QUALIFIED pastors to enter the pulpit. The world is a needy place, it lies in darkness and the only remedy is Gospel loght!
. If your most compelling goal in life is health, wealth and a good time, Christianity is not for you! Yeah that's right, posting videos of creepy AI children singing hymns and saying "These children shall surely be succesful" makes no sense.
On the above don't get me wrong, some people act as if Christians should be on a low income all their lives and this is not the case either, it's just not guaranteed and we must also remember our money doesn't belong to us, but God.
