Watch your mouth.......
Got to work on my pastoral tone- I stand by everything I said in recent posts but they could have been phrased in more of a gentle tone.
It was interesting scanning through posts looking for bad theology but I think the best way to go about this is to continue doing what I do- writing about reformed theology, sharing content, etc not looking for bad theology.
But it needs to be known- God is not activated by our faith, this is purely dangerous man centred theology and poor scriptural exegesis.
God also does not hope- that would imply he does not know the future and is as uncertain as we are.
Self help advice like self love, etc do not belong in an article or sermon- I'm looking for articles or sermons that glorify God- I'm not looking for an appointment with a California therapist! 🤭
One of the many causes of this bad theology is the easy believism seen on here "Just believe. Just believe. Christ doesn't care about your conduct, he doesn't care about you attending a faithful Gospel church or obeying his commands in scripture, oh no none of that. Just put your feet up."
This shows us two things- one- as believers, as per scripture, we are to attend a Gospel church (with a biblically qualified pastor by the way) as per scripture. Two- we are to read God's word daily, if you truly believe the Bible is God's word isn't this common sense? The Bible is not be "reread" it is God's word, not a random hobby book!
To clarify- daily Bible reading and church don't justify us before God but they are fruits we are saved. Faith without works is...........
