Matthew 10:34-35

Jesus said he comes not to bring peace but he comes to bring a sword.

Why did Jesus say that your enemy will be the one who sits at your table and eats with you?

Why did Jesus say he comes to bring strife between mother and daughter and father and son? Also in Luke 12: 51-43

Jesus was giving us a warning of the division that was coming, has come, and is coming. If people would look at the world and what's going on in the world and I mean really look at events that are occurring worldwide, we will see where the love of many has gone cold as prophesied in Matthew 24.

That is why we're warned to watch, to be vigilant, and alert to the signs of the times we're living in and not to fall, we are the prey. To stay strong in belief and constant in prayer, never severing our connection with our Lord.

It's a good bible passage to understand Christ's message that one needs to accept that other people, absolute non-believers or believers, might be hostile to even the kindest of our deeds and words
