A sermon note gets an article.
I think I'll do the entire sermon notes tommorow or the next day but now I'll share this gem from the sermon at church today.
"Rejoice with those who rejoice"- my wife and I don't have any wealthy friends. But say if we knew a wealthy brother and sister in Christ let's call them Georgia and Tarquin 🤭- their business was going well, they moved to a nice house- yes my wife and I have to use a metre (part of the house) and watch our income but why shouldn't we rejoice with them and why should we be envious?
God hasn't blessed us any less- we would also need to continue praying they use the income God has given them for his glory!
"Mourn with those who mourn" Oh what a great example our church was when the sisters at church comforted my wife as she told them she had a second miscarriage.
At fellowship today we were talking to that Zimbabwean and South African couple and the man's mum is very unwell- it was so encouraging and moving that the couple were so thankful for our prayers and that we encouraged them- honestly they encouraged us more!
A reminder- none of this is possible without fellowship at a local Gospel church.
Oh another one- a good Gospel church will have a wide variety of people from different backgrounds- all part of one huge family in Christ!
