Not by Works, but by Grace: Understanding Salvation
John 14:6 confirms: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Salvation is found in Jesus. Not in a tradition. Not in religion. Not in a set of rules. Not in a system of belief. Not in idols. But in the living Savior who conquered death and offers eternal life to all who trust in Him. 🙏 There is no substitute. Through His finished work on the cross, all who believe in Jesus and trust in His sacrifice for salvation, shall receive the everlasting promise of forgiveness and the gift of eternal life.
Grace Means UN-earned Favor From God
If salvation had to be earned, then a bed-bound person would stay lost, because they could not earn nor work their way to heaven. Even old people could not work their way to heaven. That person, who on their deathbed is lingering between Heaven and Hell, could not earn their way to heaven. That mentally ill person could not earn their way to heaven. That person challenged with polio, where they cannot walk, or someone perhaps paralyzed or dying on a battlefield, could not earn their salvation. Even the thief on the cross was not required to earn his way to heaven. Even John 3:16 does not say "one must be baptized in order to be saved."
Salvation has absolutely nothing to do with our performance and these examples prove it. But Jesus said, "Just come to Me, all who are weary and broken, and I will give you rest... I will save your soul." That is His promise to us, if we will but allow him to. He turns no one away.
Acts 4:12 (KJV) affirms: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
When Jesus went to the cross to atone for our sins, he wasn't thinking of himself. He was only thinking of providing a way for us to get to heaven. Thank you, Jesus. ❤🫂

I am blessed to say that one of my eldest sons best friends has recently been saved by Grace! And the uncanny thing is that our story's of Grace are very similar to each other! Both of us have mental illness, but that didn't stop God of Heaven and Earth from giving us both a vision of the cross which was our redemption... And both of our experience of being born again of the Spirit was also the same like electricity covering over our whole body, and the touch of the Lord, and the Joy of the Lord! It's really really nice to be able to talk to this young man and be able to compare notes! Like kindred spirits! What took me 20 years to learn, he learned in 6 months!!!!! It just blows me away what the Holy Spirit has shown this young man!! And it's really really nice to have his influence on my own kids.. Where Christianity is a true love not something to be joked about. I gave this young man a Bible about a year ago, and I didn't think that he would read it... But he is!!! And often!!! I am glad he is putting it to good use, learning from it, and two weeks ago he got baptized in his Grandma's church too!!! God is Good!
