On Monday pastor John MacArthur passed away, I only found out this morning.
One of my memories of MacArthur was reading his 'strength for today' devotionals while working in a supermarket before my current background in finance.
Reading him, especially as a new Christian, was very refreshing for the soul and very challenging, he was a very important part in my growth in Christ. I can also remember reading him on holiday in Crete (and his devotionals).
MacArthur was easily an American Spurgeon and no doubt he is now rejoicing with his Lord and meeting the saints in heaven!
