New Church Membership

Maybe today if the pastor is back from holiday with his wife or on Wednesday Bible study.... we will become members of our Wednesday church.

Our usual church has been great- it's doing well, four rammed services in a large auditorium but we have decided to join our local Wednesday Bible study church and now attend Sunday services there.

Our local church truly and faithfully preaches the Gospel and deserves more members- and yes I can get membership as an Anglican.

I will never forget that day on October 2023 on a cold Sunday morning when my wife had the car as she was away on business and instead of our local, awful, liberal theology Anglican church, I attended the Baptist chapel and the first words I heard from one of the pastor's sermons "What if I had a cure for cancer and never told anyone?"

The pastor of our local church has really helped us grow and the difference is there to see, even for secular family.

The pastor isn't a "Waaahh do you know how harsh that sounds?" Preacher- he tells it as it is and does not bite his nails at mentioning God's wrath, etc.

I switched to a Baptist church as well. It aligns with my core values. My husband and I have been checking out different churches and this one feels like home. Gentle, yet firm. Kind and guiding.
@Promises Thankyou for sharing- yes the Baptist church my wife and I are going to uses the 1689 Westminster Confession.

I agree with all of it except believers baptism as I am Anglican.

But the church has been core to my wife and I's growth and we are already viewed as members- maybe we get an express check in 🤭 and the pastor and elder know my denomination.

It's great you've found a good, biblical church too!
@BritishFailedAesthetic It's a similar situation for my husband and I too. It's awesome finding others that are experiencing parallel things. I appreciate your input. Thank you for sharing your experience.
