Bible Study Notes 12/06/25

. God does not and cannot learn- in less than a split second, he can see from eternity past all the way into eternity future.

. God's ultimate aim is to be glorified- that is the ultimate means to an end.

. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom

. The wisest thing we can do is glorify God in all areas of our life.

. The sky is the theatre to showcase the glory of God.

. Do we ever meditate on the fact that God knew where and when we would be born?

. Salvation is the crown of God's wisdom.

. Noone could have made this up- the creator of the universe, God the Son, the second person of the Trinity, coming down as a baby, causing a scandal, to save those who would believe on him. And to add to all this, a former prostitute being one of the first eye witnesses to his ressurection in an age where women were considered less valuable as witnesses.

. Christ the just, is also the justifier.

Sorry but my posts will not present a therapeutic Gospel message where God is portrayed more like a comforting teddy bear than the holy, sovereign Lord of the universe.

I'm not going to present sin lightly—as just a "problem we all have" (which we all do, that is true ) —but it is cosmic rebellion deserving divine wrath.

Oh and BTW praying a sinner's prayer and relying on that for assurance of your salvation is futile.

Do you really see yourself as a sinner and the cost Christ paid for you on the cross? We need to think about this deeply.

Saving evidences will come from this- a deepening hatred of sin (not the sinner), wanting to fellowship with other Christians (attending a local church), a growing love for all brothers and sisters in Christ, etc. God loves you but he loves you too much to keep you as you are.

Don't get me wrong- your works will NEVER justify you before God, saying that would be the highest form of spiritual pride I could ever say but you WILL have saving evidences.
