A reflection on encouragement
The visiting pastor on Sunday preached a very encouraging message on Sunday which should really get us to reflect on our attitudes.
He had been through alot- his wife's bouts of sepsis and the loss of their only child, a young boy.
The church organisation sent a man to encourage him, as the pastor was telling the man his problems, the pastor suddenly stopped telling his problems and asked the bewildered man what his problems were and how he could encourage him.
Wow, what an amazing reminder of going the extra mile in the attitude we should have as Christians- taking away attention from self to Christ (a great way of doing this on a macro scale is looking at what God is doing across the world, not just your own Country).
