Before the prayer meeting yesterday we got a short sermon by the pastor on God's sovereignty.
Especially at this time it was a great reminder by the pastor that wherever we are in life we must remember God's sovereign hand, in 10 years from now God knows exactly what you will be doing.
We were also introduced to a lady in the history of God's people- Rahab who was a prostitute. She shows both God's sovereignty and grace.
She shows both God's sovereignty and grace as despite her social background and proffesion God chose her as part of the genealogy of Christ.
Rahab's faith, not her legacy, defined her! What a beautiful example of God's scandalous grace!
Here is a depiction, I like to think of it as the days where she was a prostitute who didn't know God- and philosophising under the ancient night sky- little did she know she'd have her name forever in the genealogy of Christ and her name would be mentioned thousands of years later in a Baptist chapel in the UK!
