Leonard Ravenhill and Church
Bible study notes tommorow. During the sermon tonight my pastor quoted Leonard Ravenhill.
"Those damned in hell would give anything to hear just one sermon"
And he really does mean ANYTHING.
They may have mocked God in this life but now they are desperate to hear anything of the things of God, which now, they never will, they will only know wrath.
Point 1- As Christians we must value sermons and fellowship with other Christians in a local Bible believing church- what can be more delightful than having a little glimpse of heaven?
Point 2- If you are not a Christian, on death there will be no second chances. If you reject Christ's sacrifice for your sin, you will be in hell. If you are religious outside of Christ your gods (little g intended) won't be there to save you.
So please- before it is too late, acknowledge you (like all of us) have sinned against an infinitely holy God and deserve hell, know that nothing can pay for your sin before a thrice Holy God except Christ's shed blood on the cross, without accepting this, you will go to an eternal hell, where words cannot summarise the horrors.
