The Prophecy of Pandemics

[media=https://youtu.be/ShxfYTXuw68?si=tw43DkqvkLjLV6W0]

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7874133/

There are naturally some places that man has not recorded or know of that plagues have occurred in the ancient days before BC. But since there is no records it would seem they are few and far between.

When we moved into AD after the birth death and burial and Resurrection of Christ, pandemics begin to appear. In the first few centuries mainly to certain areas. As Time rolled on pandemics increased and the closer we got to the 20th and 21st century pandemics became worldwide. Could the answer be according to Daniel's 4:12 people will be moving to and fro in the last days?

History is showing an increase in pandemics and there are many that is not on this video that killed thousands in the past few hundred years, like polio that kills thousands, H1N1 that killed thousands and others.

According to prophecy something worse is coming. Those who believe in Christ stay alert.

Nostradamus actually wrote a prophecy predicting COVID to the year.

In twin years of double-death and dread, (2020)
From eastern lands the silent breath is spread. (China)
The crown shall fall upon the globe unseen, (Crown - corona..)
And plague shall ride where man’s machines have been.

(Actually he didn't. I wrote that. Good, isn't it? ;) )

@iamthe99 Oh aye?

I see no prediction of any specific pandemic, just a guess that one might occur. So far so good.

In either a year with repeated digits (possible) or two years running (the more likely option).

Originating in some unspecified area of (presumably) Asia.

"Man's machines" could be either the horse-drawn carts or the wind-powered sailing-ships of Nostradamus' era - but the phrase might be a metaphor for human life generally.

Anyone can write a "prophecy", as long as it is sufficiently vague to cover almost anything at any time hence. Anyone years later can twist them to fit almost anything - or twist the event to fit the "prophecy".

@ArishMell See the parentheses at the bottom of my comment, which shows that anyone can in fact write a prophecy ;)

@iamthe99 LOL! Thankyou - I had missed that!

Though you do make the point beautifully. I am not sure if it is in Nostradamos' literary style but certainly fits witrh his era.

@ArishMell Thank you! He wrote in French in the sort of rhyming quatrain style. And everything was doom and gloom with him (though at the rate things are going, he may have had a point 🤣)

@iamthe99 I have read the writings of Nostradamus and unlike scripture his prophecies are meaningless.
But what you wrote whether it's your thoughts or plagiarized it has a ring of humor.

I'll give you three no four of many from the Bible.

In the last days knowledge will increase and people will be running to and fro Daniel 12:4 and before the 20th century people were not running to and fro and most of them were unlearned in the basic craft of writing and reading, not to mention technology and it's explosion after the 20th century. (Can't see that though can you)

As it was in the days of Lot so shall it be in the coming of the Son of Man Luke 17:28. 21st century same sex marriages, any sex you choose in at least seven countries these days before the 21st century that couldn't occur.

And he caused all both great and small to receive a mark in their right hand or forehead and without it no man could buy sell or trade revelation 13:16. Before the the 20th century that was impossible. Now you can have a microchip implanted with all the information on it that's needed to live in this world and control everything that you own.

This gospel must be preached to all Nations as a witness then the end will come Matthew 24:14. And they say that there is only 100 uncontacted tribes living in the world today. Which is actually not accurate, those uncontacted tribes have been contacted they've just refused outside interference, and in South America and India their government protects them.

I just have to add one more

Behold he cometh with clouds and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him (referring to all unbelievers) and all kindreds of the Earth shall wail because of him. Even so, amen Revelation 1:7. Until the 20th century the invention of the television, computers internet cell phones, every eye seeing him was impossible.

Toss it aside, throw it out, take no heed, pay no attention
