. Trials- Nothing to compare to eternal joy. Although oftentimes we see them from our perspective, God is working a tapestry- behind everything there is an omnipresent, gracious hand.
. The prophet Jonah hit the nail on the head- "Salvation is of the Lord"- not 99.99% but 100%.
. Golden chain of our salvation- begins in eternity past, ends in eternity future.
. Before the stars were created, God foreknew his people.
. At the funeral of someone who died without Christ, if some awful run of the mill vicar says: "They're looking down on us". No. Not if they never looked up to Christ.
. In the words of Charnock: "Heaven- a place more glorious than Adam's paradise."
. If you have any such love for Christ, it is because he first loved you from eternity past.
. Ultimately- is Christ the priority of your life?
