Before mankind could ever get to these levels of technology where he's achieving a God-like status of being able to live forever in any capacity or even being able to create artificial intelligence, in the sense of conscious sentient beings in the form of computers, I believe before that God will put a stop to that.
And the way that is going to happen is that we know there is going to be the events of the end times - the tribulation, the second coming of Jesus Christ.
The end of the world will take place before man reaches these levels of technology.

I spend my time worshipping that which is eternal - a living, risen savior - the Lord Jesus Christ - who is now beyond space, time and matter, as shown in the Holy Word of God which is also eternal: "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." - Isaiah 40:8.
