Did God choose to be perfect?

Did God choose to be good? Did God have to choose between being good and being evil?

In ancient times the emperors, kings, and chief priests claimed to have been gods. You see the same thing happening at this very second around the world. Most of the biblical god characters were murdering psycho bigots. If there's a hell they need to be in it for eternity.

Generally speaking, humans prefer to be ruled by nuts rather than by calm, sane, intelligent rational people. Just read the news.

I tend to quote at least part of a poster's comments so that there is a link to what I am replying to.

Does God exist?
James25 · 61-69, M
@AnnaBunny I don't know. But the god of the Bible does not exist. Because it is not a true perfect God

@James25 It was more rhetorical

God cannot be anything other then Good.. If God was evil He would not be God..
James25 · 61-69, M
@Adstar] if God cannot be anything other than good then why didn't he make Adam and Eve so they couldn't be anything other than good?
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@Adstar whys that?
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
Good question… Christians never consider the fact that he could be evil
