The world at your doorstep.

A great article from the 'Banner of Truth' magazine by Paul Levy. He begins by saying let us also not forget pastors who faithfully preach the Gospel in small towns and villages with static populations, this is particularly challenging.

The main point of the article, I have written on here before about Christians in Afghanistan and Iraq but there are many who have come here in the UK as refugees and have come to Christ here in the UK.

The author says that our cities are full of people from across the world and this is very enriching for Christ's church.

Levy also writes that where there are cities with large and growing populations there will be great fruitfulness of people coming to the Gospel of Christ.

Levy writes then that the church should also make sure it is welcoming to these refugees and immigrants- make sure they are welcome at fellowship- share a meal and who knows maybe some Nshima or Jollof rice awaits!

The author makes a point I have made before- whether you like it or not God is even sovereign over the flux of people coming into your Country and he is the one adding to his church!

The author concludes- the book of Acts presents us with an unstoppable Jesus, an unstoppable gospel and an unstoppable church!

From my own experience I see this point, the church my wife and I attend on Sunday is made up largely of Africans with a significant amount of South Asians- it is packed, it now has four services as it is growing rapidly, praise God!

I don't know if our brothers and sisters in Christ in heaven can see the world's events but if they can I have no doubt R.C. Sproul is looking down at the article by Levy and smiling as this is an article he certainly would've wrote for this time!
