. In a world with no resurrection- sin and death would have the last word but praise be to God that is not the case!
. As Christians the ressurection should give us hope with bereavement of Christians, hope with illness, etc
. Jesus as Lord and friend- Despite being denied and abandoned he still said "My brothers" to the disciples, showing his forgiveness!
. Don't get trapped into thinking that because Christ is infinitely powerful and infinitely glorious that he doesn’t think about you- he is all seeing and all knowing and cares for your soul!
. All praise to the risen Christ- The king who triumphs and who cares!
Bonus notes:
1 . After church during fellowship we talked to a lovely African lady in a headdress, she wasn't doing anything today, just watching TV by herself in her flat but she was excited to call her children back home in Africa.
Remember Priscilla? Well she proactively invited the lady to her easter event today so she is now not alone! How amazing it is to see God's loving care for his servants in action!
2. On the way back from church to get supplies for my mum and dad's easter party we met a man from another Gospel centred Anglican church- he was handing out those Ray Comfort one million pound notes- he didn't plan on joining in on his family's easter festivities until he handed out his 400 gospel tracts! 😯
