IN THE LAST DAYS

Genesis 6:5, “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”

It's amazing that God put the book of Jude chronologically just before the book of Revelation. No other book describes in detail the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ than the book of Revelation. Of 66 books total, no other book in the Bible describes in great detail the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. There's 22 chapters, 404 verses and exactly 11,952 words in the book of Revelation. You can interpret the book historically, prophetically and doctrinally.

The Spirit of God wants us to see what our society, our country and the world will be like just prior to the Lord's return. The book of Jude packs a whollop punch, containing some of the most powerful words in the Bible. Jude, writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God, tells us how bad things will become in the Last Days. Truly, we are living in times of woeful apostasy. Shipwrecked lives are all over the place. Divorce is commonplace. Abortion is the norm. Homosexuality is popular. Booze is ruining our homes. It was reported that 1 in 4 women in the U.S. are binge drinkers, drunkards (the holy Bible calls it the sin of drunkenness!).

Christians are now literally “the silent minority” in America. The United States has become a shameful place. Please don't misunderstand, I'll always love my country, which is why I'm working relentlessly to defend it to the death. Albeit, there is something wrong when national pride outweighs obedience and humility toward God. Do you know why God destroyed the world by a flood in Noah's day? It wasn't because of their wicked deeds; but rather, it was their “EVIL THOUGHTS.” Genesis 6:5, “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”

Jesus foretold that His coming will be a surprise to nearly everyone, bringing sudden destruction without remedy...

Matthew 24:37-39, “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

I believe that we are living in the Last Days. The lusts of the flesh, the pride of life and the lusts of the eyes have overtaken the world because of modern technology. Modern conveniences have allowed men to travel further down the road they were already on. The world has always been wicked according to 1st John 5:19, but the degree of wickedness is unprecedented since the flood of Noah's day. Never before, since God destroyed the world by a flood, has the world been so saturated with evil as it is today. Television is getting worse and worse each and every day. Things never spiritually improve in a society, not unless one of two things happen: 1) God's hand of judgment, 2) Revival.

The days of city-wide revivals are long gone in America, having ended with the invention of the television and takeover by the wicked. America was much better off when we didn't have televisions in our homes. People used to write heartfelt letters to others, establishing lifelong friendships, caring for one another. Today people sit in front of a computer screen all day.

Jude Foretells Of Perilous Last Days Preceding The Coming Of Jesus Christ

Please notice that just before the second coming of the Lord in Revelation, the Spirit of God puts a little short book called the book of Jude, with only 25 short verses in it. There's a reason for the book of Jude, and that is, because the Spirit of God wants us to see the condition that the world will be in just prior to Jesus coming again. These things are already happening today. Jude was the Lord's biological half-brother, sharing the same mother (but not father). Joseph was Jude's father; but God the Father was Jesus' Father. Jesus was perfect in every way, without sin, because His heavenly Father is perfect and sinless. Jesus is God's only BEGOTTEN Son (John 3:16 - King James Bible).

The book of Jude in the Bible starts off by mentioning contending for the faith. The last days will be characterized by characterless people, quitters. Everywhere across America these days people are throwing in the towel, going into sin and forsaking the Lord. Most people don't take serving the Lord seriously any more. Whereas churches used to be the center of people's lives, today churches are only a part of people's lives. American society has become so evil today that you couldn't find God with the FBI in most people's lives. There is “no fear of God before their eyes” as Romans 3:18 says. You couldn't find God with a magnifying glass in most people's life.

Jude foretold in the Last Days that people would behave as natural brute beats (literally, animals). People are acting like animals these days.

Jesus foretold in Matthew 24:12 that in the Last Days the love of many people would wax cold because of iniquity (unpunished evil in society). Many people doubt the Lord's Words, as did the two disciples on the road to Emmaus; but by Jesus expounding them in the Scriptures they finally believed. Likewise, Jesus commands every believer in John 5:39 to “SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.”

We are living in the LAST DAYS foretold in the Scriptures.

2nd Timothy 3:1 proclaims, “This know also, that IN THE LAST DAYS perilous times shall come.”

We are certainly witnessing 2nd Timothy 3:1-5 . . .

“For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

The Holy Spirit often brings this Scripture to remembrance when I see the wickedness of society today. We are living in a fake society where people don't know what unconditional love is, a time when people are without natural affection and the love of many have waxed cold (Matthew 24:12). 2nd Timothy 3:15 accurately describes the selfish, self-conscious, self-willed and self-righteous American culture.

Why don't you realize what your life's priorities are? A bunch of guys chasing a ball around a field has become the focal point of American's lives and we wonder why the country is going down the toilet. Look in the mirror.

Philippians 2:21, “For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.” Hardly anyone truly cares about the things of Jesus Christ—Searching the Scriptures, prayer, morality, modest dress, faith in God, soul-winning, caring for “the least of these” (Matthew 25:40), loving thy neighbor as thyself, contending for the Christian faith, rising up against the evildoers, et cetera.

Acts 2:17, “And it shall come to pass IN THE LAST DAYS, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.”

2nd Peter 3:3, “Knowing this first, that there shall come IN THE LAST DAYS scoffers, walking after their own lusts.”

Perfectly said !!!! I, to believe we are living in the last days. I believe it’s going to be technology that completely takes us out. Something that could and should be so good but it is so evil.
