Sermon Notes 16/03/25
Great sermon while at church this morning and what great notes to type half time while listening to the Sheffield United match back at home!
.Years ago the pastor had just become a pastor and was on a cruise with the family- he was doubting about whether he was "good enough" to be a pastor but then he was reading a book on the cruise which said: "We're all sinners but God loves us anyway!"
. We don't deserve grace but God freely gives it! Drink from the river of God's delights!
. He quoted the Westminster Cathecism: "Man's chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever"
. People get so wrapped up in legalism they forget about God's grace- the pastor used the pharisees criticising Jesus for healing the withered man's hand in the Sabbath as a great example!
. Getting to enjoy Jesus everyday- what a great gift!
