An incredible double meaning
24 “But in those days, following that distress,
“‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
25 the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[a]
26 “At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. 27 And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.

Matthew 13:24-27 sure are amazing verses about Christ's second coming aren't they?
Look particular at verses 26-27 from the above. The commentaror on my Reformation Study Bible suggests that these verses not only refer to Christ's second coming but also to the worldwide spread of the Gospel!
The clouds signify divine clouds and the scene of the above verses also picture people realising Christ's reign.
The Greek for angels can refer to both actual angels and human messengers too!
The gathering of believers has a double meaning too, also reffering to believers getting saved through evangelism of Gospel messengers.
Wow, isn't God's word amazing and full of surprises?
It reminds me of another double meaning- the appropiate parts of the Song of Solomon can also be used to describe the believer's loving relationship with God- both the married and the single believers.
Amazing.
