Like lovers we should say to God 'I love you with all my heart' and being the bride of Christ, we should be in love with Christ.
Once we surrender our hearts to God, his hands will make them soft and pliable.
The article also mentioned God is with us when we have a broken and contrine heart.

Reading my Lent devotional by Release International I read of a Chinese pastor who knew his phone was being bugged by the Chinese government- what did he do? He kept sharing the glories of Christ with his friend, praying in his head the person listening in would come to Christ!
