God's Word, a sham trial and a prison transformed

"God's word is not chained" so wrote Paul while in prison. Firuza experienced this first hand.

One day someone accused Firuza of fraud but the case was so ridiculous the judge didn't even proceed with the case. But then the administration found she was a Christian and a retrial began.

As if dealing with a sham trial was not enough stress at the time, our sister in Christ Firuza was pregnant during the time (she gave birth during the time of her trial) and her husband had health issues.

Firuza was given the maximum jail term for fraud and was given a sentence of 10 years.

During a prison visit, Firuza's husband slipped her a Bible but she was later caught with it, before the administrative authorities she proclaimed her faith in Christ.

God can even use bureaucratic agencies to his glory as during each of the three visits to the Administration she kept repeatedly having to tell the agents about the Bible.

Then an absolute miracle happened- a state offical visited Firuza's jail and demanded she read and teach the other inmates the Bible- yes you read that right, in a Central Asian country!

Her fellow inmates regularly requested to read her Bible themselves and we know what God's word does- her prison which formerly had a toxic atmosphere was now transformed by God's word!

Firuza was released early after four years, pray that God may continue to use this amazing lady for his glory and pray for her husband Mahmud's health issues, he has recently undergone heart surgery.
