Transhumanism, meaning using technology to transcend our limitations as human beings and for life extension, even to the point of living forever
physically on this earth has to do with the same lie that Satan deceived Eve with back in the Garden of Eden. There is no new thing under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9).
Genesis 3:4-5 - And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Transumanism promises man the same lie that he will become as God.
Right after Adam and Eve has eaten of the forbidden fruit, this is God says in Genesis 3:22-24, "And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life."
So, in the story, when mankind is to a point where he is achieving a God-like status, God puts a stop to it.
Then just a few chapters later, there is the story of the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11 and this is after Noah and after the flood and mankind is united and they have built a city and they're building this tower to reach unto Heaven and here's what God says in Genesis 11:5-8, "And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city."
So again, here is man achieving something that God does not want him to achieve; he's going beyond a certain boundary that God has put on man and God puts a stop to it.
Before mankind could ever get to these levels of technology where he's achieving a God-like status of being able to live forever in any capacity or even being able to create artificial intelligence, in the sense of conscious sentient beings in the form of computers, I believe before that God will put a stop to that.
And the way that is going to happen is that we know there is going to be the events of the end times - the tribulation, the second coming of Jesus Christ.
The end of the world will take place before man reaches these levels of technology.
Folks, don't fall for the trap of trying to find and attain eternal life here in a fallen world that is eventually going to fade away. That is not humanity 2.0. That is, in reality, devolution. The real humanity 2.0 is salvation and eternal life through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Once you Believe that Christ died, was buried and rose from the grave as a payment for your sin, then you will truly live forever here on the new earth.
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
