The service started with a song from the worship band about giving our lives to Christ, the pastor soon came up and prayed that we may all surrender to Christ, to the plans he has for our lives.
We then heard the story of the man who planted this church. Born in 1926, he would've also been called up in the last part of WW2 to serve his Country.
In the story of his life I'm sure he would've met some Christians from other Countries in the military but the main part of his story is incredible- I'm sure in his wildest dreams he would never had imagined God using him to plant our church- a diverse church of many ethnicities and cultural backgrounds all worshipping God together. A church that has reached the place it is and changed countless lives most importantly through the Gospel and also through charity work.
He has gone to be with the Lord now but what a book of his life!
What a great and inspiring sermon, it was about our lives with Christ as a story and telling our stories of what Christ has done with us to others!
Our lives are a story of God's plan and there is room in our story for others to come to faith in Christ and for them to then share their stories of faith in Christ with others too!
