Open Doors Prayer Request
Well, Open Doors have sent me a top 10 Countries brochure for the world watchlist and today is the fortnightly story of our suffering believers and sisters in Christ across the world from the Open Doors prayer diary so got a post on the persecuted church.
Oh and by the way, I haven't finished my Release International lent devotional book from last year so even more of these posts soon. Yes, I do Lent, you didn't forget my denomination, did you? 🤨 🤭
. Please pray for *Rooble our Somali brother in Christ. Rooble became a Christian after some other Somali brothers in Christ (I assume brothers as Somalis strictly socialise only with their own gender) showed him the Bible. Rooble then shared the Bible with other Somalis and they came to faith in Christ too.
When Rooble started sharing his faith, he got beaten and sent to jail for three months, he must be a well liked individual as that is very lenient for a Country like Somalia. This was the first of several jail sentences for Rooble.
Rooble's brother also became a Christian and got killed for his faith. Rooble was also rejected and disinherited by his family, a death sentence in itself for African/Somali communities.
Let us also reflect if Rooble has the bald courage to spread the Gospel in Somalia, what does that say to us?
. Please also pray for a safehouse for the Open Doors safehouse (location unknown) for our North Korean sisters in Christ. It is a place of food, fellowship and worship. God's presence is very strong there.
