Words For Life Feb- Apr Prayer Requests

1. Thanks and prayers for Borath. His Christian journey, like alot of ours was a messy one. He became a Christian so he could marry his wife, but despite this his proffesion was genuine.

He struggled with the sins of excessive drinking and gambling, hiding the habits from his wife.

He soon began to read some scriptures in Bunong, Matthew 11:28 specifically spoke to him.

With his new found growth, God used him to become the leader of a men's group in his church. God had even bigger plans for Borath as he is now a pastor and he is helping the committee on a full Bunong translation of the Bible.

The New Testament was fully translated into Bunong in 2016. Please pray for the Bunong translation of God's word to influence and be a blessing to the Bunong people.

2. Suleyman refused a generous offer of cash and livestock from his boss, his boss wanted him to renounce his Christian faith.

Suleyman was fired and had to move out of the desert and into a city, where he found a new job on a building site.

Every lunchtime the boss of the building site made Suleyman sit separately because of Suleyman's Christian faith.

The boss's heart soon softened when Suleyman endured the silent treatment for the sake of Christ. "Suleyman, I want to congratulate you for being faithful to your faith".

At the time of the article the boss has not yet come to faith in Christ but please pray he does! Also please pray for the continued translation of God's word for the people of the Guéra region of Chad and pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ there.

To summarise:

Pray for Pastor Borath's work on the Bunong translation, that it may be a blessing and pray for our Bunong brothers and sisters in Christ.

Please also pray for the conversion of Suleyman's boss, for the Bible translations in the Guéra regions and for our brothers and sisters in Christ in the Guéra region.
