Bible Study Notes 22/01/25

. Many of us have qualifications. I have a business degree. Many have to study further for a job. But there is no greater study than the study of God.

. We can study subjects and gain a great knowledge of them. But no matter how hard we read and study about God we will never begin to scratch the surface of his glory. Even in all eternity we will never fully grasp his glory and not scratch the surface of it.

. God created everything for his own sovereign pleasure.

. The reality that our life is but a vapour vs God's eternality should humble our very soul.

. Get God's worst haters- in your town, here, etc. If God granted them the ability to SAFELY see his glory for a split second, they would fall down on their knees in ashes (metaphorically speaking).

. Remember to trust God for EVERYTHING.

. A lady once asked Martin Lloyd-Jones's predecessor " Can I pray for the little things in life?" He replied with a glimmer of mischief in his eye "Madam, everything is small to God"

. Above all, IF you are in Christ, you can look forward to an eternity with God!

AMEN! Truer words were never spoken! We will NEVER even scratch the surface of learning about God, all that entails, and all the great things He has done. The Bible is an enormous plethora of Holy wisdom and nothing on this Earth can replace it.

James 1:5-6: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
@LadyGrace Amen sister! These Bible study sessions are the reason why Wednesday after work is an exciting day!

Ever think that Jesus was just a plain, no-nonsense tough guy in addition to being kind, compassionate, and all that? “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to."
@graphite I honestly don't know! We can know through God's word, in terms of appearance, nothing stood out about him on earth, in terms of appearance.
