The elephant in the room.
How could you possibly be Anglican you ask me.
The denomination that has biblically unqualified vicars/bishops, blesses relationships that clearly go against God's word and loves to preach left wing politics more than the Gospel?
Well for starters just changing denominations isn't something that happens overnight and it requires examination- time which could instead be used glorifying and worshipping God.
Second is flexibility- Anglicans are not required to agree on offical teaching, even the 39 articles.
Related to the second point is the fact that you can still get biblically solid Anglican churches where the Gospel is preached, I have sat through many a sermon where conviction of sin and the need of a saviour to avoid hell is preached.
Another reason I stay Anglican is my belief in infant baptism- not in the baptismal regeneration sense but in the covenant theology sense.
When you ask me when I was baptised I'll tell you- as a baby in a small Country church.
So to conclude for the new year- I'll still be Anglican and almost certainly die an Anglican. I'll just be that low churcher married to a baptist wife, who goes to Baptist churches and loves reading Charles Spurgeon as part of his devotionals 🤭
