The importance of fellowship
So it's half time in a very exciting Sheffield United vs West Brom game and I am reminded of one of the many benefits of fellowship after church today- a new perspective.
I was talking to a lady during fellowship after church today (with a nice cup of coffee and a slice of festive Panettone). I was telling her that I was the only Christian in my family.
I told her about my (however many greats) grandma , who was also Christian and wrote to encourage my (however many greats) grandad when he was a soldier serving in World War 1, the letters she wrote to him were filled with Bible verses.
The lady then struck me with an amazing point- "Do you think you were an answer to your (greats) Grandma's prayers for the family?
What an amazing thought- from those prayers- me coming to faith and growing, finding an amazing bible study church that has turbo charged my faith and all of my journey so far as a Christian.
Please- do not be a 'church ninja'- stay after the service and mingle!
