Sermon Notes 29/12/24
Last service of the year! What a wonderful service to kick it off!
The service began with testimonies of what God has done with people in 2024- stories of healing and God creating amazing opportunities!
Notes:
. Evil people- Putins, Hitlers, Stalins, etc did not just start off that way- they kept becoming more and more progressively evil- due to the rot of original sin- as Christians we must continue clinging to Christ to deal with sin.
. After such a joyous occasion of Christ's birth and the messiah being born- Mary and Joseph had to flee as refugees to Egypt- they had to loose their family, community and learn a new language and way of life. Never forget that Christ must have a special plave in his heart for refugees.
. God can use challenging, unusual and unexpected suprises (often quite complicated) in our lives for his glory.
. Whatever happens to us, we must remember that God is never suprised himself- he is our Triune, Sovereign God!
