Wednesday Bible Study Notes 11/12/24
I didn't think I'd have the strength to go to Bible Study as I have a tooth infection causing me a swollen face (my root canal is due next week) but by God's grace I managed.
. When Christ was a baby in a cot, he was still upholding the universe.
. "My soul magnifies the Lord" Let God be glorified in us so that we may glorify him.
. Jesus is not some hippy or "good teacher" he is God the Son in the flesh, who died for our sin, rose again and he will come again to judge the living and the dead.
. "God my Saviour" Do not listen to the Roman Catholic doctrine of a sinless Mary- she was a sinner like the rest of us, a sinner saved solely by God's grace.
. A church that is doing a carol service has an excellent opportunity to share the Gospel and it must be done- sin must be explained and the need of accepting Christ as saviour to avoid hell must be explained clearly and precisely.
. Mary was just a humble, poor lady from Nazareth in Palestine but God chose her to bare our Saviour.
