Of vegetables and faith.
Cassava is a vegetable I'm familiar with- when my wife cooks she regularly uses it- we are frequent customers at the African market nearby!
Barnabas aid have funded the planting of 900 acres in Uganda of a new variety of Cassava for our brothers and sisters in Christ, it is tougher to weather (ideal for the current climate) and unlike the old variety which takes three years to mature, this one takes 8 months!
Not only will this help our brothers and sisters in Christ in hunger, it can be used for other purposes- pharmaceutical, food processing, etc, giving our impoverished brothers and sisters in Christ a sustainable income.
I have no doubt this humble little root vegetable will bring about great tales of faith- many meals of fellowship and a great opportunity to share meals with others in the community, to show Christ's love!
