There are records going back to the 1500s of folk magic practitioners who consider themselves good Christians and many to this day. I am actually reading some period pieces on this subject right now.
Heck there is even a book of basic spellwork you can order online published by a Catholic nun.
It is kind of similar to prayer. It is not specific to any particular faith.
