Thanking God in success

Well, was my ceremony to recieve my degree from uni this week, it really strikes you when you shake the hands of the (Dean?) and get your parchment.

I remember the night I found out I got it- my wife was on a business trip and I recieved my formal offer to accept the degree- six years of work and juggling my degree- to simply press 'yes'.

I quickly got so excited and thought 'well done m.....' No. All glory to God.

After a shift at work and starting coursework... God gave me strength.

After visiting my now wife in hospital, worried sick she might not make it through the night when she was violently ill and the hospital was trying to see what was wrong with her (she previously had an aneurysm), God gave me the willpower and focus to continue.

God blessed me with a considerate family who knew the quiet and space I needed to do my coursework- and who were those people that shouted loud and proud when I recieved my parchment!

As my Wednesday Bible Study pastor puts it: "Thieves, thieves, thieves if we dare not give all credit and glory to God".

I have believed in God and Jesus ever since I was a little kid … don’t like church much tho 🌝
@ThreeLittleBirds Thanks for taking the time to comment.

To clarify, Jesus is God the son.

Church is so great for corporate worship and for fellowship with other Christians.

Think I would feel a little overwhelmed tbh , life is tricky … I don’t think I’d be worthy in church ~ so much judgement? 🥹@BritishFailedAesthetic
@ThreeLittleBirds Noone is "worthy" it is solely by God's grace!

If a church treated you like that, I would very much doubt they are a Biblical church.
I’m too imperfect for church ⛪I’m ok with that … Gods ok with that . @BritishFailedAesthetic
@ThreeLittleBirds We are all imperfect, your qualification would disqualify everyone from church.
@ThreeLittleBirds Put it this way Christ shed his blood on the cross for our sins, he took the punishment and wrath we deserved for our sin.

So from the above, it would be absurd for a Gospel church to not welcome everyone.

My own faith walk has been like..... 😌

Samson 🤪🤭
