Bible Study

A great Bible Study session, today's theme was what are we living for?

The visiting pastor started the sermon from the John Piper quote about that couple retiring, living the good life on the yacht.... and collecting shells, you know, that sermon that featured in every Christian remix in the late 2000s 😅

The pastor made the point very clearly that our lives are not our own but Christ's, what made Paul tick should make us tick- the cross of Christ!

Once we grasp the love of Christ, our lives will be changed, we will ofcourse never be able to fully comprehend it, as it is eternal!

The first story the pastor used in this sermon was some young men talking and discussing the worst ways someone could die. They invite the pastor to join the conversation and the pastor replies with two words: "without Christ."

The second story (parable), three demons presented a plan to Satan, which plan did Satan approve? Convince people to put off Christ until later!

This is the most beautiful and thought-provoking post I believe I've ever seen. I can't thank you enough for it. I absolutely love the answer your pastor gave about the worst ways a person could die. His answer could not have been more pure and true: "without Christ". What a brilliant pastor. You are so blessed to have him.

I absolutely love that quote. What made Paul tick, should make us tick... the Cross of Christ. Thank you Jesus, for the one who posted this and most of all for your son who died and suffered and sacrificed his very own life for us.
@LadyGrace Couldn't have put it better myself!
