. Be prepared- you will have sufferings and trials to come- but rest assured Christian, you have hope and an eternal future in Christ!

. If you could ask a believer in glory to come back to earth, even for a split second, they would say "no".

. If Christ is THE TRUTH, any other way claiming to lead to God MUST be false.

. A pilgrimage- is not one to Canterbury, not one to Lourdes, not even to Jerusalem. Your pilgrimage is this life.

. Remember- at anytime you could pass away and when you do, you will stand before the judgement seat of Christ. Do you trust in Christ's shed blood on the cross for your forgiveness? If not, you will never enter heaven- there are no second chances and no reincarnation, hell is forever.

@LadyGrace It's a great church and I started taking notes while going to It's Wednesday bible study.

I still remember clearly going to that church for the first time on a on a Sunday when my wife was away and couldn't go to our usual church, it was an October morning.

The first words I ever heard from the pastor:
"Imagine if you had the cure for cancer and didn't tell anyone"

@BritishFailedAesthetic yes I remember your post. What a great introduction to a sermon. People complain about teaching, but they don't realize how much worse off they will be if they don't prepare their souls for eternity.

I already know years ago. I wrote a story how I threw my NIV decent looking bible in the dumpster.

I want God's words by his chosen ones as children. From the old testament to the new of Christ Jesus.

I want the best from Heaven instead of this pathetic world.

@FreestyleArt Good translation, my daily read is an ESV but I do have a KJV bible for travel.

@FreestyleArt the KJV is certainly not perfect and it has led to several errors over the years. Combine that with its antiquated English which uses many words we still use but the meaning has changed or eve reversed itself. Best to read many translations than to pick one above all others.
