Most historians today agree on only two things about "Jesus" which are considered to be historical: (a) he was baptized; (b) he was crucified.
Anything else (such as the sayings) may or may not be historical. Lots of stories about J. are simple adaptations of older myths, for example the virgin birth, the walk on water, etc.
