Why didn't God forgive Adam and Eve?

God created Adam and Eve in his image. Was this the perfect image of God and all of his essence? Adam and Eve did not have the knowledge understanding and wisdom of God. The cards were stacked against them so to speak. This and the evil influence of a serpent to disobey God. It does not seem Adam and Eve even had a chance. And then for there to be such a stiff penalty for their disobedience. Adam and Eve were like children. I think God could have shown a little more understanding. This seems to be a very punitive and imperfect form of justice. I certainly would not have penalized children in such a way.

You are right I do not understand your beliefs. It is not necessarily that I lack the ability to understand but just as likely that your beliefs don't make any sense. And therefore cannot be understood.

And so the decision they had to make was made an easy uncomplicated one.. One that they did have the wisdom and power to make by their own free will.. God said do not eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil for on the day you do you shall die.. Satan made another counter claim and Adam and Eve had the freedom to decide who was telling the truth and who was a liar.. They decided that satan was telling the truth and God was a Liar.. They made the error.. It was their error.. They had a choice, they choose badly..



Yeah and children have the choice to either obey their parents or to disobey their parents.. It is their choice, which they have the power to make that choice.



You a human being.. He is The God.. Your judgements are relative to your compromised standards.. Gods standards are absolute because He is perfect.. So the pass mark for God is 100% perfection.. 99.99% is a fail to Him..



Maybe you are being blocked from understanding because deep down in your consience you are rejecting the Way God has made for you to be Redeemed?

@NativePortlander1970 Still a Child has the power to decide to follow the order of their parent or to go against it.. Kids have been making decisions for generations like that.. Some decide to follow their parents wishes and some decide to go against their wishes.. Such is life..

@Adstar so you mean God looked like a human being? Interesting. Adam and Eve had no knowledge of good and evil. They had no knowledge of right and wrong. They did not know disobeying God was wrong. They had choice but they had no wisdom to make it. They didn't make an error. They had no knowledge of what an error is. And they had no knowledge of what a liar is. They were fooled by Satan because they had no knowledge of what a lie is. And they had no knowledge of what being deceived is. And why was Satan in the Garden of Eden in the first place? Why did God allow Satan to tempt Adam and Eve? Why would God allow Satan to even be there and tempt Adam and Eve? Also there are other versions of these stories written before the bible. The Bible borrowed these stories from earlier versions written by other cultures. And there are two versions of the story in the Bible.

I have been trying to point out the inconsistencies in the Adam and Eve story. But there is one greater inconsistency in this story. The whole idea of Adam and Eve is a fairy tale. And the whole Genesis story is a fairytale. The earth and the universe took billions of years to form. And it took millions of years for human beings to evolve. Saying that God created the heavens and the earth in 6 days is absolutely ridiculous. It's like believing the earth is flat. There are still people to this day that believe the earth is flat. That is ridiculous!

They had the ability to either believe Gods warning or believe satans lie.. They chose to disbelieve God and to believe satan.. And now we know believing God is the Key to one having eternal salvation..


They had received two contradictory statements.. One from God that said they would die if they ate of the fruit and one from satan who said they would become gods if they ate the fruit.. They would have known one of the statements had to be a lie.. They chose to believe satan was telling the truth and God was telling a like.. Their big error..



To reveal to the heavenly host that satans claim to Godhood was false by using His universe creation as a stage whereby satans claim to Godhood could be put to the test and end up revealing the just how false satans claim to Godhood was.. Don't you know about the great controversy? satan because of his pride made the claim that he could be a god equal to God and in the end 1/3rd of the Angels joined him in seeking to establish this claim.. So God gave satan enough rope to hang himself in the garden of Eden and satan took the bait and made his sabotage attempt upon Gods creation.. But He did not realize that God had a plan to Redeem His creation.. God foreknew what satan would do but already had the solution to overcome satans sabotage. Thereby saving us and through demonstration reveal the falsity of satans claim to Godhood..


Nope the other cultures derived their versions from the times of the tower of Babel when the earths population all lived in the same area.. When they where divided all over the earth they took with them the story and the memory of the great flood.. And that's why you can find such stories modified by time in diverse places like native American cultures and native Australian cultures and China India and Africa.. The very fact that flood stories are all over the world CONFIRMS the Bible story of the flood is true not false..

The rest of your reply is just statement making with no actual points worthy of reply except for me stating i do not believe those statements..
