Gonna start a war all up in SW, smh.
It all comes down to Faith.
Can I prove that the Bible was written by the Lord, no.
But, do I feel that it was, Absolutely.
And that's that.

@Umile thank you for your answer. I have read the Bible. That's the problem. I don't like what it says. I think a lot of things that it says are bad. If I may interpret your answer and my answer as well our interpretation of the Bible is a projection of our own thoughts of what is right and wrong good or bad.

@James25 Kudos to you. How long did that take ? Did you STUDY study it? I mean, that's no joke.
The thing is, the Bible is mostly in parables. So we sort of have to translate it ourselves. And they say that the more you follow the lord, the more you'll understand it.
But, yes, let's agree to disagree.

Religion is a weird creature. Think about it. The people who claim to believe in the Bible call themselves "Christians" but in reality they should be classified as Jews because they worship the Jewish deity and the Jewish high priest Jesus. Even self-professed Jews don't go that far. The big difference is that Christian men don't have to get circumcised. If they did they would be more Jewish than the other Jews are.
thank you for the honest answer. But the next question would be why do you have faith that the Bible was written by God?

@Diotrephes the difference between Jewish and Christian faith is that Christian's believe Jesus to be the Messiah the Jewish faith does not

@James25
Exactly, so which group is the real Jews? The Christians believe in the whole bag while the self-professed Jews don't.

@Diotrephes yes that's a good point. And a good question I don't know.

IMO, it is the most important question when discussing religion and the Bible. If Christians are not the real Jews, like the Pharisees, Sadducees, and Essenes, then what are they? They have more in common with the Pharisees.

@Diotrephes Christian interpretation of the Messiah is different from traditional Jewish faith

@Diotrephes an unrelated question. You put a quote of something that I wrote in your response. How do you do that?
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@James25
Of course it is. But are Christians more Jewish than traditional Jews when you evaluate them according to what's in the Bible? Remember, the Pharisees and Sadducees had different beliefs but still called themselves Jews. Christians believe in the Jewish deity and the Jewish high priest Jesus. That should qualify them as Jews.
