Friday at the pastors and sermon notes
What a great night at the pastor and his wife's last night- lovely fellowship and a great meal- we had some delicious sausage casserole with sticky toffee pudding and home made custard. To drink we had some elderflower tonic- elderflowers sourced from their garden!
Great conversation and a great point raised by the pastor as usual- when he saw various footage of the bombings, he remembers seeing a IDF bomb hit a baptist church. All the measures and lack of aid, etc to Gaza affect our brothers and sisters in Christ in Gaza too.
Sermon notes from last week:
. King Charles III will not just walk into your event..... but Christ the king of kings, condescended to our level and is always with us.
. At any time Christ could have returned to glory- but yet he chose to suffer and die for us because of his love for us.
. During the transfiguration Jesus was still teaching Moses and Elijah.
. A look at Moses and Elijah would give us a glimpse at our future glorified selves- five seconds of looking at the transfiguration would change our lives permanently.
. We will have all eternity to meet the saints of God- Spurgeon, Luther, Whitefield, Edwards, etc. They will all be there!
