The Church in Northwest China
For today's lent reading we are introduced to Ali, a brother who is an ethnic Uygur.
When Ali became a Christian and refused to go to his family's religious services, his family kicked him out of the home, to ensure even more persecution his dad came complaining to Ali's school, shouting and making a scene and asking about the apparent lack of supervision of his son.
Ali's family soon informed over relatives and they all turned him down from living with them, meaning he slept on the freezing cold streets, this ofcourse led to his hospitalisation, none of his family came to visit him or bring him food in hospital.
Miraculously God provided the funds to pay for Ali's hospital bills and even find him a job despite having no real qualifications!
Friends, people like Ali especially know that other Christians are just as much our family as our own blood relatives!
